One member has returned back to her home country.
we are blessed with her in this church. Her sincere faith encouraged us very much. We are thankful to be connected together with her by our living God. May God bless her new start richly.

God’s work is unfathomable. I was never had a high expectation to continue my study in Japan. First time I came in Matsuyama was in 2010 as an exchange student only for three months. I clearly remember on the last day one of my exchange program, one of the sensee said “Hope to see you again, maybe here in Matsuyama”. At that time my answer was “Hmm.. maybe, but I want to see another city and other countries as well”. Never imagine that the next year on 2011 I came back to Matsuyama to continue my study. I did many ways and did try to apply for scholarship to several countries. However, my way back to Matsuyama was way too smooth compare to other study attempts.

That was how I started my study here in Matsuyama, Japan. November 2011, first time I came to Matsuyama Fukuin Centre, which I got to know from friends that also attend this church. The first one and a half year I mostly only came for English service, The Praise Fellowship. In the end of 2012, I prayed for my new year resolution in 2013, and God gave me heart that want to serve. So, in 2013 I went to my neighbor who was also Praise Fellowship member and ask if I can join to serve during the service. That was how I started to join as song leader during the Praise Fellowship service. Slowly but sure God brings me back to be more active to join the service, not only for English service but also morning service every Sunday.

During five years stay in Japan, many things I experienced; happy moments, sad moments, up and down. However, everytime I join the service, everytime I held other hands during the pray time in service, I am grateful to God, because I realize that I will never ever be alone, I will always have a family in Christ and He will provide what I need. Five years is not a short time to be apart from my family, far from home and my neighborhood. Nevertheless, I am grateful to God, to give me these years to be built and shaped in Christ, also to get to know other people step by step. I am grateful that He teaches me that not only I need my personal time to communicate with God, but also relationship with other believers, a fellowship, is important. I am grateful because I can experience and learn both of these during my stay here in Japan.

Nowadays my feeling is mixed. I am happy welcoming my way back home, also very sad everytime I think that I have to be apart from people that I come to know in these five years; at the same time also I am nervous about what will wait for me in the future. However, I do believe, like how He led me back to this city, how I meet and got to know people here, He, my Savior, my Friend, my Father, He Who hold my future also will lead me to the right way.

Brothers and sisters, please keep in touch. I am very grateful that I can meet everyone that I meet in these years, and will never forget you all. Also I want to apologize if there were my actions or words that hurts someone during these years. Until we meet again. May God always bless us and help us to keep our faith.
